Dr. Garrick Mok is an emergency physician and trauma team leader at St. Michael’s Hospital, Unity Health Toronto. He also serves as an Assistant Professor in the Division of Emergency Medicine, Department of Medicine at the University of Toronto. Dr. Mok is the co-founder and co-lead of the Measuring and Improving Cardiac Arrest Resuscitation in the Emergency Department (MI-CARE) program at St. Michael’s Hospital. This quality improvement initiative focuses on leveraging real-time data to enhance CPR quality, structured debriefing, and the integration of a dedicated CPR coach role within the emergency department. The program was awarded the CAEP 2025 Quality Improvement Grant and has been featured at numerous national and international conferences. In addition to his clinical and academic roles, Dr. Mok serves as Deputy Chief of the Emergency Department. In this leadership position, he drives the integration of technology with evidence-based practice to optimize clinical workflows and patient care. One of his current areas of focus is improving the timeliness of factor administration for patients with bleeding disorders—a project being co-developed on a national scale.
