Obtained her Royal College Fellowship in Emergency Medicine in 1986 and continues to practice Emergency Medicine in both academic and rural settings. Obtained her American Board of Emergency Medicine and Medical Toxicology in 1993 and 1994. Was the medical director of the Ontario Poison Centre from 2001-2024 and continues as a toxicology consultant. With her colleagues, attends as a bedside consultant for the St. Michael’s Toxicology service.
